Armada Technologies PRO881 Digital Underground Wire & Pipe Locator
Product Overview
The Armada Technologies PRO881 is a dual-frequency digital locator for tracing buried conductors, narrowing irrigation-valve locations, and following non-metallic pipe routes when paired with a compatible tracking rod or sonde. The 1748 Hz mode supports conventional direct-connected wire and valve locating, while the 33.3 kHz mode can be used for compatible higher-frequency and inductive applications. Digital noise rejection helps the receiver distinguish the target signal from surrounding electrical interference.
The listed range reaches up to 8 ft deep and 4,000 ft under suitable site conditions. Actual performance depends on transmitter connection, grounding, conductor or tracking-aid condition, soil, and interference. The kit includes long leads, alligator clips, a heavy-duty stake, and padded hard-shell case. Non-metallic pipe cannot be traced without a compatible conductive aid.
Key Features:
- 1748 Hz and 33.3 kHz operation
- Wire, valve, and compatible pipe locating
- Digital noise rejection
- Internal inductive antenna
- Professional field case and accessories
Common Uses:
- Tracing buried irrigation and lighting wires
- Locating connected solenoid valves
- Following non-metallic pipe with a tracking rod or sonde
- Direct-connect and inductive locating work
Technical Specifications:
- Depth: Up to 8 ft
- Distance: Up to 4,000 ft
- Transmitter Power: Eight D batteries
- Receiver Power: One 9V battery
FAQ:
Can it trace plastic pipe directly?
No. Use a compatible tracking aid inside or with the pipe.
Why are two frequencies included?
They support different direct-connect, inductive, and tracking-aid applications.
